you are allowed to terminate toxic relationships
you are allowed to walk away from people who hurt you
you are allowed to be angry and selfish and unforgiving
you don’t owe anyone an explanation for taking care of yourself
A wise man once sat in the audience and cracked a joke. All laughed like crazy. After a moment, he cracked the same joke again and a little less people laughed this time. He cracked the same joke again and again, when there was no laughter in the crowd..
He smiled and said, “When you can’t laugh on the same joke again and again, then why do you keep crying over the same thing over and over again?”
Don’t give your past too much power and move on!"
You never really forget. Sure, they’re out of your life and both of you have moved on, but there’s always that part of you that belonged to them. A part of you that they have taken and you can’t take back. They took a piece of you, which makes it more difficult to let anyone else in. You’re afraid to let that go. You’re afraid that you’ll get hurt again. But that’s another thing about love.. it can also be a remedy.
Everyone can have their own opinion. Just because yours is diffferent doesn’t mean that theirs is wrong. Just keep an open mind. Changing your mind about something doesn’t mean you’re being a hypocrite, it’s you having an open mind and realizing their point of view. There’s nothing wrong with changing your opinoin about something if you find a different point of view that you really agree on. We change how we think all the time. As for example, our opinion on a person. We might judge them at first, but once we get to know them we end up thinking that they’re alright. So when someone calls you a hypocrite, tell them that everyone is and there’s nothing wrong with having an open mind.
